We had the most wonderful weekend at Thunderbird Farm with our group of 11 women for a Spiritual Retreat that we called Soulstead Retreat. The beautiful old farmhouse felt like a true home away from home — clean, cozy, and thoughtfully set up for a large group. The kitchen was exceptionally well-stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, and everything we needed to cook and gather together. The bathrooms were spotless, with soft towels and convenient options on every floor.We loved immersing ourselves in the gentle rhythm of farm life. The provided rubber boots made it easy (and fun) to explore the barnyard, where we fed the animals, watered them, and collected the freshest eggs each morning. We experienced a magical moment witnessing the birth of a newborn lamb and being able to gently care for it in its first hours of life — a truly unforgettable experience that filled us all with awe and joy.We also enjoyed an early spring bonfire, relaxing in the hot tub during early mornings, and stargazing under the clear night sky in this peaceful rural sanctuary. The occasional little insect that found its way inside only added to the authentic country charm.Our hosts were incredible - accommodating our additional requests to support our healing work, they were responsive, respectful and flexible with all of our requests.Laurie and Brooks, thank you so much for generously sharing this little piece of heaven with us.
